Requirements

Eligibility is subject to Oklahoma Health Care Authority regulations with medical necessity and preauthorization. Referrals are submitted by a licensed mental health provider.

Testing Standards

CREOKS Psychological Services utilizes a highly collaborative approach involving the child, parents, caregivers and teachers’ feedback. Informed by the American Psychological Association guidelines, diagnoses will be selected based on the individual characteristics of the child, clinical observations, interviews, multi-disciplinary treatment data and school records.

Psychological testing is administered by a Licensed Health Service Psychologist, a board-approved Psychological Technician or a Doctoral Trainee. All reports and findings will be reviewed, staffed and approved by a Licensed Health Service Psychologist.

Treatment & Referals

After psychological testing, qualifying children may be referred to other allied health services in the CREOKS Array of Hope program. These services may include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and nutritional therapy, as well as individual and family therapy.

What to expect

Children displaying potential characteristics of neurodevelopmental or ther childhood disorders will be identified. After registering with CREOKS, the child can then be referred to the CREOKS Psychological Services Program for psychological testing. All referrals must be submitted by a Licensed Mental Health Provider as defined by OHCA.

CREOKS Psychological Services will confirm receipt of referrals or request clarification by email.

After the referral has been approved, CREOKS will notify the referring provider and contact the child’s caregiver to schedule testing.

After scheduling, caregivers will be provided with a “What to Expect” guide via email to help prepare themselves and their child for the testing appointment. The child must be accompanied by a legal guardian, unless prior arrangements are made. The caretaker must remain on site through the testing appointment.

Children will be evaluated during their scheduled appointment. During this time, caregivers will complete the designated testing forms for parents and caregivers. Completion of paper and online forms will be required in most cases.

Teachers will also be provided with forms or online links to forms where their input will be included in the evaluation process.

Upon receipt of all required data, the referral will be updated and the CREOKS will contact the caregiver to schedule a results session. All results sessions will be conducted via Zoom video conference.

After the results session, the Psychological Testing Report will be finalized and uploaded to CREOKS GoHealth Medical Records. Parents or caregivers who are legal guardians can email the CREOKS Medical Records department to request a copy of the Psychological Testing Report.
