CREOKS staff Jackie Long, Brandi Lacy, Phyllis Hopkins, Cassie Gray, Kayla Standingwater and Nicole Owens represented both CREOKS and our SOC program at the Wagoner Family Fun Day helping participants with making worry stone & handing out leis and refreshing fruity popsicles.

Rachel’s Challenge Program

Stacy Williams, CREOKS Systems of Care Assistant Director, participated in planning for a Rachel’s Challenge event at McAlester High School and Puterbaugh Middle School earlier this spring. Williams along with other committee representatives were promoting the Rachel’s Challenge program founded for Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. The Rachel’s Challenge program was founded to “inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.”

Blue Ribbon Dash in Sapulpa

Creek County WRAPAROUND staff volunteered at the recent Blue Ribbon Dash in Sapulpa sponsored by the Creek County Health Committee by passing out water to the runners participating in the event.

Wagoner Family Fun Day

Members of the Wagoner clinic staff participated in a Family Fun Day on May 19th at Maple Park in Wagoner.

Activities included making tshirts that were later given away in a drawing, making big bubbles, and creating “feeling bags” out of flour, balloons and rice. Families and children were also invited to pull a prize from a “treasure chest”, enjoy snack cakes and take handouts and resources for “summer family fun.” The function served nearly 400 families and left staff with very sore fingers from tying balloons for the bags. Well worth the effort!! Thank you Brandi, Tia, Janis, Phyllis and Deborah for your fun day participation, hard work and willingness to serve families in the community you serve.
